It's been a few years since we met,
But only spent the last couple of months close,
Today as I opened the door, you were still there,
For the goodbyes and last glances.
You were so clean, so spotless,
I didn't hesitate to hug you one last time,
Captured pictures of you,
To be kept as memories, that'll last a lifetime.
When the clock struck 11,
I knew in my heart that there was no turning back,
You went out the driveway, down the road,
And all I could do was watch you go.....
